WARNINGS
GUIDELINES FOR NEEDLE-FREE JET INJECTOR.
- READ AND UNDERSTAND THE OPERATION MANUAL BEFORE USING THE INJECTOR.
- Do not use this injector at pressures exceeding 300 PSI.
- Always close the gas cylinder and release the pressure before adjusting the injection dose.
- Always close the gas cylinder and release the pressure before changing the orifice.
- Use the injector for intended purpose only.
- Inspect for damaged parts prior to using the injector.
- Use safety glasses.
- DANGER: The fluid jet from the injector can cut the skin if not used properly.
Always keep hands and fingers away from the front orifice.
- DANGER: The injector should be fired only when the orifice is in complete contact and perpendicular to the skin.
An incomplete contact can cause severe flesh wounds and loss of medication outside the skin during the injection.
- DANGER: Never fire the injector without liquid.
THE ABOVE WARNINGS MUST BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES. FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE WARNINGS MAY RESULT IN BREAKAGE AND/OR
MALFUNCTION OF THE INJECTOR THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.
Procedure of Sterilization
To remove and disassemble the front tube for sterilization:
- Place the dose adjustment at the minimum position.
- Close the gas cylinder and disconnect the gas supply hose
of the injector from the pressure regulator assembly.
- Disconnect the syringe from the barrel of the injector.
- Unscrew the barrel nut and turn the barrel counter clockwise until it is loose,
then pull the barrel away from the injector.
- Remove the injector piston by bending it left or right and pulling it frontward.
- Disassemble the barrel and put all parts in a stainless steel pan.
- Place the pan in an autoclave at 250°F for 30 minutes.
- Wait until the components are cooled.
- Snap the injector piston back in place.
- Reassemble the barrel and reconnect it to the injector.
Procedure of Storage
- Remove the plastic syringe with the injectable fluid.
- Close the CO2 cylinder gas valve.
- Pull the trigger half way a few times to empty the gas line.
- When all manometers indicate 0 psi, disconnect the injector from the pressure regulator assembly.
- The injector must remain clean and the injector barrel and the orifice must be sterilized before storage
(Follow Procedure of Sterilization).
- STORE THE INJECTOR AT ROOM TEMPERATURE INSIDE ITS CARRYING CASE.
Procedure to Start Injecting
- Ensure that the injector body is clean and that the barrel and the orifice are sterilized
before injecting (Follow Procedure of Sterilization).
- Use sterile water and fill the sterile plastic syringe.
- Connect the sterile plastic syringe to the injector.
- Adjust the dose volume at the required position.
- Point the injector to a safe direction upwards and press on the syringe
until the fluid is completely drained and no air bubbles remain.
- Connect the injector to the regulator on the gas cylinder.
- Adjust the pressure to required level and inject 2 to 5 times pointing the injector away from individuals
(preferably towards the ceiling) in order to eliminate all the air that may be trapped
inside the injector barrel.
- Remove the syringe containing water & connect the syringe containing the injectable fluid.
- Inject one time to release the sterile liquid, then start injecting.
NOTE: THE ABOVE PROCEDURES MUST BE RESPECTED AT ALL TIMES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE PROCEDURES MAY RESULT
IN BREAKAGE AND/OR MALFUNCTION OF THE INJECTOR THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
